About Me
I am a 24-year-old graduate student, and I was born in Tampa, Florida. I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in the 4th grade. During my time in Vegas, I enjoyed hiking, camping and outdoor recreation. I also developed a strong appreciation for the desert landscape and wildlife in the area. I have always had a passion for animals. During my youth I volunteered at a dog rescue, Foreclosed Upon Pets, for many years. I was the youngest volunteer to be awarded the position of 'Top Dog'. I managed my own store where I facilitated adoptions of homeless dogs. I also gained animal handling experience by working as a kennel attendant at a local animal hospital during college. While I have an appreciation for all animals, my goal was always to work with wildlife. My goal is to produce meaningful research in the field of wildlife conservation.
